Omni Executive are seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from Experienced Systems Engineers hearing about opportunities on current and future Defence projects. Within Omni, our Systems Engineers provide embedded, specialised, knowledge-based and high-quality services to Defence, the Australian Government and industry clients.
ABOUT THE ROLE
In support of an existing team, OMNI are seeking qualified engineers to conduct planning and co-ordination of installation work into a CASG environment. Omni Systems Engineers lead complex activities and tasks relating to requirements development, system definition, design and development, integration, verification and validation. Our candidates plan, organise, integrate and deliver complex Systems Engineering services and products, whilst working cohesively and flexibly with the broader project team, key business partners and stakeholder groups. Systems Engineers at Omni are accountable for fulfilling the agreed project scope to meet client expectations. They monitor and oversee client relations, allocating time and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
This role will require engineering management and oversight of contractors, safety assessments, risk management, and development of engineering documentation.
Primary duties include:
1. Assist in the development of an Engineering Management System
2. Assist in the Development of an Engineering and Technical Forward Work Plan
3. Review Engineering workflow and processes
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATES
As an above the line Defence Consultant, our ideal candidate will be skilled, experienced, and highly motivated in the Australian Defence Industry. They will:
- Have the ability to work in a security environment with sensitivity, reticence and discretion;
- Hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 security clearance;
- Hold a Bachelor of Engineering degree, recognised by Engineers Australia, in a relevant discipline (Mandatory);
- Hold current recognition as a Chartered Professional Engineer (Desirable);
- Hold a current registration on the National Engineering Register (or state equivalent) (Desirable);
- Have experience within a complex governance environment;
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment; and
- Have good interpersonal skills to ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
The successful candidates will also possess the following:
• Experience in CASG project engineering activities and planning
• Experience and familiarity in Systems Engineering, preferably within the CASG / Defence environment
• Experience and familiarity with configuration management activities preferably within a CASG environment
