ABOUT THE ROLE
The Omni Security Manager is responsible for the management of the security function through a network of Assistant Security Officers. They are responsible for ensuring that Omni maintains compliance with the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership requirements, the Protective Security Framework (PSPF), the Defence Security Policy Framework (DSPF) and the Information Security Manual (ISM). The Security Manager is the key enabler for Omni’s ongoing security culture and environment.
In this role, you will manage and coordinate all aspects of personnel and facility security matters including the provision of security advice, security documentation updates and liaison with DSVS, Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA), SCEC Consultants, clients and internal staff.

Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and enthusiasm for continuous improvement are also important, as the ability to work well with others and strive for ongoing growth is an asset. Finally, the ideal candidate should be self-motivated, demonstrating that they can work independently and take ownership of their work.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
The Security Manager will have:
- Completed or be prepared to complete the AGSVA Security Officer course
- Completed or be prepared to complete a COMSO course
- A Certificate IV in Government Security
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance
- Detailed understanding and knowledge of the PSPF, ISM, DSPF, AS/NZS ISO 31 000 Risk Management Principles and Guidelines, and AS HB 167 Security Risk Management
- A minimum 2 years’ experience as a Security Officer
