About the role

Omni Vetting (formerly Key Vetting Services Pty Ltd) provides assurance to organisations seeking to identify and mitigate personnel risks through the security vetting process.  Experience in personnel vetting is preferable but not essential.

Vetting Officers are responsible for conducting all phases of the personnel security clearance process in accordance with client guidelines and the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF).

Omni’s Vetting business manages sensitive information about personnel of Government and private enterprise entities. This information is and will always be handled in accordance with industry best practise ensuring it is safe, secure and free from compromise. This information is analysed in well-developed, efficient and effective vetting processes which set and maintain high benchmarks within the vetting industry. As an External Security Vetting Services (ESVS) provider, Omni Vetting maintains high standards and expects high standards of its staff.

Vetting Officers should be innovative, professional and agile, enabling the business to meet industry changes and technology enhancements.


We are looking for personnel who are personable, curious and are willing to apply analytical thinking to the vetting process to determine an individual’s suitability to hold an Australian Government security clearance.

Ideal candidates will have a strong understanding of risk, problem solving and analytical thinking and will be motivated to work to competing priorities and deadlines. Attention to detail and being results orientates are essential to these roles.

The awareness and ability to account for personal biases, conscious or unconscious in order to provide an objective and impartial recommendation is essential.


Vetting Officers should have or be working towards a Certificate IV Government Security (Personnel Vetting).

They must also have the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum of a Negative Vetting (NV1) security clearance.


Applicants should submit a current CV and 750 word (max) Pitch. All applicants must address the following in their pitch:

  • What is your understanding of risk in a personnel security context?
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport and developed written and verbal communication skills.
