Overview:   

The Systems Engineer will be working cohesively and flexibly with the broader project team, key business partners and stakeholder groups.

The successful candidates will engage with stakeholders, investigate systems engineering concepts, deliver and manage systems engineering specifications and resources. Investigate, analyse and report on the systems engineering defects and requirements, develop and implement recommendations and advice to address issues.

The successful candidate will provide detailed systems engineering technical and professional advice in relation to range of work with storage, networks, compute resources and VMware, and contribute to strategic planning, program and project management and policy development.

Other Skills and Knowledge:

1.       Proven experience in ICT systems infrastructure design covering networks, storage, compute and virtualisation.

2.       Experience working with IT Security and Architecture teams to ensure appropriate approvals and accreditations.  

3.       Experience working with project teams in the delivery of complex ICT systems.

 

 

 

Major Responsibilities:

1.       Support the Project Manager in a broad range of systems engineering activities related to system design, implementation, testing and to ensure that engineering solutions are coordinated across the project.

2.       Enable the design and development of integrated solutions that meet project needs in the ICT storage and network areas, including detailed documentation.

3.       Contribute to and review externally developed designs, plans and other artefacts to ensure integration with requirements, and validation and verification processes, in order to follow the requirements process.

4.       Validation and verification of existing requirements, capturing new requirements and managing the capability delivery phase.

5.       Contribute to identifying and resolving project risks and issues, and capitalising on opportunities for project delivery.

 

Ability to work in a high security environment with sensitivity reticence and discretion.
