Omni has announced significant enhancements to its Parental Leave Entitlements, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting employees at all stages of life. These updates aim to strengthen work-life balance and advance gender equality both in the workplace and at home.
These enhancements underscore Omni’s ongoing dedication to fostering a supportive and flexible workplace. Robust parental leave policies are increasingly recognised as crucial for employee well-being and promoting gender equality in the workforce.
By offering extended paid leave and more accessible eligibility criteria, Omni aims to ease the transition to parenthood for our employees, promote bonding time with new family members, and support a more equitable division of caregiving responsibilities.
Key updates to the Parental Leave Entitlements include:
- Extended Paid Parental Leave: Primary carers are now entitled to 20 weeks of paid parental leave, an increase from the previous 12 weeks. Employees have the option to take this leave at half pay for greater flexibility.
- Reduced Eligibility Criteria: The eligibility criteria for both Parental Leave and Bonding Leave have been lowered from 12 months to 6 months of service at the time of birth or adoption.
“These enhancements to our Parental Leave Entitlements demonstrate our commitment to supporting our employees in balancing their personal and professional lives,” said Omni Founder & CEO Jon Hawkins.
“We believe that empowering our people with the flexibility and care they need during important life moments strengthens our team and reflects the values of trust, respect, and agility at the core of our culture. By fostering an environment of support, we continue to build a more inclusive and resilient workforce.”
